The character performance capture is also impressive, especially Fetch's facial expressions in her close-ups. On top of the fantastic modeling and visual effects that we also saw in Second Son's Seattle, Fetch's flashback scenes of her past are done in lovely neon-tinged animation. The cherry on top of the sundae here is that inFAMOUS: First Light looks and sounds fantastic. Fans of high score challenges will enjoy these segments, though, and the game does a good job making the mandatory arena segments simple and the optional fights brutally challenging. I found these segments of the game less compelling than the free-roaming segments and Seattle missions, with far less interesting scenery and less free-form gameplay. She'll also have to overcome various arena challenges thrown at her when she's a captive in the DUP Conduit prison. They have not improved some of the criticized aspects of Second Son, such as artificial intelligence or some physics bugs, and there are no additional powers or new mechanics that add more variety. An indirect advantage, however, is that being more compact and small it is difficult to fall into monotony, and the rhythm is quite well balanced.
